Electromobility is the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of environmental friendly transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow. We are responsible for the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. We develop and drive the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is a growing agile driven organization in place to shape the future!
The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). We are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, to product development and maintenance.
The ESS section are now recruiting an combined E&E HW Engineer & Scrum Master
You will be part of an agile and approachable organization with skilled product teams consisting of passionate people, in an optimistic atmosphere, where joy, knowledge sharing and openness are key characteristics. What will you do?
We are working in a cross-functional way from concept and design, to final verification and implementation in production. Your 50% responsibility as component owner includes design specifications for Battery Monitoring System electronics incl. ECU, EDS & Sensors, as well as Traction voltage components as Contactors, Fuses & Busbars etc. Focus will be on the functions and attributes that rely on those components and you will be involved in technical decisions towards projects and suppliers, making sure that deadline are met with the right quality and at the right cost.
The other 50% will be designated to a Scrum Master role, with the intention to have a holistic view of the team deliveries together with Product owner(PO). As SM you will also strive to create an high performing environment within the team through removing impediments, initiating close communication and practicing continues improvements.
Who are you? Are we a perfect match?
We believe that to be successful in this position, you are a pragmatic team player that loves to develop Electrical HW with the customer in focus, as well as an history as PM or Scrum master. You have a broad knowledge and experience of developing electronics and are used to express yourself within requirement specifications. You feel comfortable of owning and take responsibility of your components and do so with great attitude.
We believe that you have:
Master of Science in Mechatronics or Electrical engineering or equivalent
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
At least 5+ year within electrical development incl technical requirements
At least 5+ years as Project manager and/or Scrum master
It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following:
KOLA, DVP and other Volvo Group Technology tools & methods
Battery or Traction/High Voltage development
