Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Electrical OR professional to support the delivery, operation, and ongoing reliability of complex, mission-critical assets. The role focuses on electrical infrastructure across large-scale developments such as data centres, industrial facilities, and major infrastructure projects, with particular emphasis on safety, reliability, commissioning, and operational readiness. The role will work closely with clients, contractors, designers, and operators to ensure electrical systems are designed, installed, tested, commissioned, and operated to the highest standards, mitigating risk and ensuring long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on electrical systems across live and new-build environments, including HV/LV power distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, EPMS, SCADA, BMS and associated control systems.
• Support reliability-focused design reviews, including constructability, maintainability, resilience, redundancy, and operational risk assessments.
• Identify operational, safety, and reliability risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with client and regulatory requirements
• Act as technical interface between design teams, contractors, commissioning agents, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Review electrical designs, specifications, technical submissions, method statements, inspection and test plans, and commissioning documentation.
• Support and oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and handover to operations.
• Monitor electrical installation quality on site, ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, and best practice
• Act as technical interface between design teams, contractors, commissioning agents, vendors, and client stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

Experience:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Formal electrical safety training for high-risk or live environments (e.g. HV authorised person, critical switching, live working procedures).
Relevant professional or project delivery certifications (e.g. PMP, APMP or equivalent) desirable.
Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) advantageous.
Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. IET, CIOB) is desirable.
