We are responsible for the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. We develop and drive the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is a growing agile driven organization in place to shape the future!
The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
To the ESS section we now recruiting an Electrical engineer for the HW Design team
You will be part of an agile and approachable organization with skilled product teams consisting of passionate people. What will you do?
We are working in a cross-functional way from concept and design, to final verification and implementation in production. Your responsibility includes design specifications for Battery Monitoring System electronics incl. ECU, EDS & Sensors, as well as Traction voltage components as Contactors, Fuses & Busbars etc. Focus will be on the functions and attributes that rely on those components. You will be involved in technical decisions towards projects and suppliers, making sure that deadline are met with the right quality and at the right cost.

Who are you? Are we a perfect match?
We believe that to be successful in this position, you are a pragmatic team player that loves to develop Electrical HW with the customer in focus. You have a broad knowledge and experience of developing electronics and are used to express yourself within requirement specifications. You feel comfortable of owning and take responsibility of your components and do so with great attitude. We also believe that you have:
• Master of Science in Mechatronics or Electrical engineering or equivalent
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
• At least 3+ year within electrical development incl technical requirements
It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following: Automotive, Creo, KOLA, Agile Principals and methods.
