Description
For our client we are looking for a Electronics Engineer / Mechatronics Engineer
Job description:
As an Electrical Engineer Wire Harness, you are responsible for designing the wiring harness schematics.
Support build, rebuild and update of the electrical system and SW on complete vehicle level for our test vehicle fleet. Besides these responsibilities you will be focused during your designing on taking manufacturability, safety, electromagnetic compatibility and safety aspects.
You will decide with the stakeholders key harness choices like materials and schematics.
Tasks
- Develop functional solutions, meet product and manufacturability requirements as well as cost targets - conceptualize and conduct simulation and test programs on new sensing and actuation concepts and components
- Update software, set parameters and calibrate ECU's
- Build and install cable harness in trucks
- Troubleshoot the electrical system in trucks
Qualifications
B.Sc./M.Sc. Electrical, Mechatronics or Computer Engineering or similar.
- Experience of automotive function and/or systems development.
- Relevant experience of the area is desired.
- Strong affinity with 3-D CAD and electrical schematics tooling, preferably NX.
- Designing precision systems, experience with whole product development process.
- Strong 3-D CAD skills.
- Experience collaborating with fabricators (machinists, technicians, etc.)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
