We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, who is going to be responsible for the design of the electronic parts of our new sound processors. You will have component ownership of both new and legacy products.
Accountabilities and associated responsibilities
In this role You are participating in improving design technology and methodologies ensuring that the leading edge technology is considered in designs. You are liaising with suppliers, contractors and equipment vendors ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Create requirement specifications with traceability to system design specifications
• Identify design solutions to meet requirements
• Develop and trial prototypes
• Prepare Verification Protocols and Reports
• Ensure safety and efficacy of devices through rigorous testing. Use the systems engineering approach with regards the development of electrical designs
• Contribute to practice improvements and quality improvement.
• Preparation of Review Notes for design changes ensuring required standard of work is met or exceeded in a timely manner
• All aspects of documentation associated with the development of a new product
Apart from above you will be participating in global design developments, which involves participation in meetings (teleconferences) in different time zones or regions.
Profile
To succeed in the role you have to have a very good understanding of electronics production processes, design for manufacturing and a strong focus on reliability in electronics. You have a degree in the technical field and at least 5-10 years experience from highly regulated industry e.g. medical device or defense industry.
• Experience of robust design of both analogue and digital hardware
• Electronics CAD tool, e.g. Altium Designer
• Electrical and Electronics measurement technique
As a person you are characterized by initiative, cooperation and problem solving skills. You are a team player, good communicator and you have good writing and presentations skills. Your English reading and writing is fluent.
