About the Role
You will join a product development environment in the automotive industry where media routing for cable harnesses and air pipes is a key part of the cab design. The focus of this role is media routing for the steering wheel, steering column, and lower storage area, where you help secure solutions that balance cable length, durability, variant handling, and production needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, system owners, production, and suppliers in an agile setup with PI planning and two-week sprints. This is a hands-on role with real influence on design decisions and production readiness.
Job DescriptionYou will verify media routing solutions and optimize cable lengths to reduce unnecessary variants, avoid scrap, and ensure long-term durability and function.
You will participate in design reviews and help drive practical, robust solutions together with system owners and cross-functional teams.
You will update and review drawings, prepare and raise ECOs, raise drawings, create MR, and support part ordering.
You will perform measurements and verify that routing solutions meet specification.
You will work closely with suppliers to ensure solutions are built according to specification and support alignment across functions.
You will support production during test assembly, follow up on results, and drive corrections, improvements, and change requests when needed.
You will help secure regulatory compliance and production readiness as changes are introduced in the product.
You will act as a key voice for the cable harness area and support internal stakeholders when routing changes affect the overall solution.
RequirementsRelevant degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience from large rollouts or project implementations.
Experience working in fast-moving environments.
Experience with ECO handling.
Fluent Swedish and English.
Nice to haveExperience working closely with production and cable routing.
Experience participating in design reviews.
Experience updating and reviewing drawings.
Experience creating MR, ordering parts, and performing measurements.
Experience verifying routing against specification and aligning with suppliers and other functions.
Knowledge of PI planning or other agile ways of working.
Additional European languages.
