In this position you will work within Powertrain Engineering organization at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. You will be part of an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.

Your responsibilities
As Electrical Engineer your day to day work will be to work in the development and support of our engine test cells and the laboratory process systems. You will work with electrical/safety aspects within our test cells as well as troubleshooting of laboratory process and equipment in general. If you have knowledge of CAN communication network and additional technologies, a part of this position will also include to share this knowledge. Other responsibilities include:
Electrical design/CAD, working with a variety of control- and data acquisition systems, CE-marking, technical documentation etc.
Besides your main responsibilities and main focus in the lab/work shop, you will collaborate and share knowledge with our design team on electric related design topics. This is an work area that is becoming more and more prioritized connected to the electrification/hybridization of the powertrain area.

Other criteria for the position:
Electrical engineering experience
Relevant university degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge in Elprocad or a similar electrical CAD tool
Good English and Swedish (both spoken and written).
Knowledge of process automation and machine/process safety will be considered as a plus, as well as knowledge of risk assessment and CE-marking
