hela Sverige The Machine Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Electrical Engineer position.
Description of directorate/division/group:
The Utilities and Test Stands Section within the Specialized Technical Services Group works alongside other groups in the Accelerator Division to define, design, install, commission and finally operate and maintain the accelerator conventional electrical systems, cooling water systems and test stands at ESS.
Description of main responsibilities
• Provide electrical engineering expertise to accelerator activities
• Coordinate development of accelerator cable plant
• Supervise design, installation and commissioning of relevant parts of the accelerator electrical infrastructure
• Administration of accelerator cable database
• Assist in the development and approval of documentation for the accelerator's electrical systems
• Quality review of site works
• Coordinate activities and direct staff & contractors
• Provide feedback and suggestions for solutions to management
• Direct staff & contractors as needed to meet responsibilities
Qualifications
• Degree in electrical engineering
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience of working in an international environment is essential
Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
