Arbetsuppgifter / The position:
Since nobody knows what the future brings, we as a team move quickly in new technologies and methods. We are constant learners, we live and breathe technology and the possibilities of tomorrow which makes us the preferred partner of a large range of innovative companies. We are looking for a profile who can join our concepting SWAT team with a focus on EE - a profile who is hopelessly in love with PCB, SMT, RFQ, DFM, EMC, DIY, BJT, FR4, RSSI, UART, SPI, FET, LDO, I2C but maybe also digs GCC, C, IAR, SDK, BLE, RPI, HEX, ASCII, GDB, HAL, CAN.
Skills we're looking for are:
• Tech feasibility studies spawning from crazy concepts from designers/engineers
• Schematics design
• PCB design (floor planning & layout)
• Cross functional integration and chatty meetings with the ME and SW engineers
• Wakeup/test and maybe some soldering sometimes
• Evaluation and review of co-worker's design work
• Occasionally attending Shenzhen factory pyjama parties
Some nice to haves are:
• RF/Black magic knowledge
• Certification, technical file and test knowledge
DSP, video and/or audio processing experience? FPGA and soft cores experience
• Experience from embedded Linux hardware
We use Altium designer as our main tool for PCB design. At Above we see PCB design as a natural part of electronics engineering, all our engineers do PCB layout. It would be super awesome if you already are familiar with that tool. If not, we're sure that you will put that brain of yours to good use and get up to speed (of course with a little help!)
