Responsibilities
• Module owner of electrical systems within the WEC and associated grid connection
• Working closely with mechanical, modeling, software and systems groups to define electrical system requirements, and detailed design
• Perform electrical system design work, produce wiring diagrams and bill-of-materials
• Produce technical documentation, test plans, user manuals and engineering calculations
• Perform failure mode, effects and criticality analysis
• Manage your modules to meet performance, schedule and budget targets
• Investigate new solutions to improve performance, reliability and cost
• Manage procurement activities including component and supplier selection, manufacturing and factory acceptance testing of electrical modules
• Assembly and testing of electrical modules in our assembly hall
• Support pilot installations in the field
• Support power system analysis involving real-time modelling, system analysis, control, protection, machine safety, aggregated network modelling, grid codes and micro-grid solutions in teams having additional experts in the respective field
Skills and qualifications
You have a relevant experience from developing electrical systems for industrial applications. You have experience with highly complex control systems and genuine interest in the different aspects of electrical system including motors, drives, control, automation and safety. Familiarity and pervious compliance with, European and international grid codes, is viewed favorably. Experience from the renewable energy sector is a plus as is automotive and naval. You have a track record of successfully taking new products through the cycle of planning, designing, manufacturing and commercializing electrical equipment as well as optimizing electro-mechanical systems for weight, volume and cost. You may have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field but your personality, experience and interest in the field is the most important. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
