As Electrical Designer you will be a key to our success, as strong design knowledge is crucial to our development as a business. Your role ranges from electrical and thermal design of motors and generators in offers and order projects to technical sales support on the customer?s premises ? where we in close collaboration with the customer aim to find the best possible system solution for them.
The requirements: You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Rotating Machines and/or Electrical Drive Systems. Alternatively, you hold a degree in Power Systems, focusing on electrical drive systems or Rotating Machines. It is qualifying if you are experienced within the train or electrical machines industry. Electrical Design is performed in ABB?s own designed system. Knowledge of Swedish, Chinese, German or Spanish is qualifying. As a person, you have a broad technical interest, and an understanding of other aspects than the purely electrical. You have the ability to keep several parallel projects up and running. You are also detailed and thorough, focusing on the end result.
You will be a part of the business unit Machines in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and sell synchronous AC machines up to 70 MVA, where both motor and generator applications are included. We also develop, manufacture and sell DC and Traction Motors.
