hela Sverige You will be part of Motors & Generators, Machines in Västerås. The unit, which is part of the business unit Motors & Generators, develops, sells and manufactures synchronous and induction AC Machines in the power range from 1 MW to 80MW, for motor and generator applications.
Tasks
We are looking for a service-minded and supportive person for this role as Electrical Designer. If you are eager to utilize your knowledge in electrical machines, and broaden your knowledge in interfaces, such as driven equipment and grid influence, this is the job for you! It is also important that you want to strive towards our goal to give our customers world-class support in terms of timely and complete answers. This job will provide you with the opportunity to work in an international environment with people from different cultural and geographical background.
You will be responsible for supporting our sales teams with electrical and thermal designs, based on customer requirements, ambient conditions, as well as internal design and manufacturing rules. As an electrical designer, you will also be responsible for the electrical design of machines during manufacturing, as well as evaluating machines in final testing. Another part of the work will be to train the sales teams and customers in electrical machines theory.
Requirements
To suit this role, you need to have a solid interest in technology and have strong personal leadership skills. You hold a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on electrical power and rotating electrical machines, or equivalent. Alternatively, you hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, combined with several years of work experience from rotating electrical machinery.
You are a responsible, collaborative and persistent person with good communication skills. As this is a global organization and you will train our sales force worldwide, you need to master English. It is also a plus if you have knowledge in Swedish, as this is the most common language internally. You will mostly use in-house developed calculation tools but general computer skills and experience from FEM-calculations is an advantage.
