Publiceringsdatum2013-05-07Dina arbetsuppgifterWe are looking for an Electrical design system engineer with ECAD skills.
As the Electrical Design System Engineer, you will design the electrical systems to be implemented in our products.
Your responsibilities will include:
• According to requirements define, design and implement electrical design in circuit diagram, wire- and component lists. Validate design solution.
• Be responsible of all aspects of the Electrical Design and the functions realized in train lines, i e hardwired circuitry in the vehicle.
• Convert requirements into solutions.
• Ensure on-time in full delivery of Electrical Design, as per commitment and scope, in line with full functional responsibility of the system in their project
• Ensure that standard systems deliverables and best practices are used for all projects. Extend the standard deliverables and increase the reusability across all projects,
• Proactively manage interface issues across systems and other project functions.
• Provide visibility on the status of the Electrical Design.
• Proactively escalate issues to the architects to ensure on time in full delivery.
• Support the field during production, product introduction, reliability growth (FRACAS support) and warranty period, in seeking solutions to technical problems for the functions / systems.
• Manage ECAD tool in order to execute tasks efficiently
• Key expected deliverables of Electrical Design within the System Engineering department are :
• Circuit Diagram, wire list and component list (input from Electrical System and Vehicle Design/output to Physical Integration).
• The deliverability of the work scope defined above to time and budget
• The assurance and quality of that work and the validation/verification activity to demonstrate conformance to all requirements (legislation, standards, contract and BT internal)
• The timely identification of issues in delivering the work scope and identify corrective actions to mitigate the issues.
• The visibility is provided to Project Core Team
• The interface issues are dealt proactively / on time.
• Escalation and ad hoc working group are running to resolve coming issues beforehand.
• Ensure that committed Electrical Design deliverables to the Project are achieved within time, quality and budget and in line with legislation and safety
• Maintain and develop ECAD tool
• Support the organization to develop our products.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
As our ideal candidate, you possess:
• Experience within an international Engineering team (not required but meriting)
• Engineering Graduate or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in rail System Engineering (not required but meriting)
• Proven experience in developing/integrating subsystems
• Manage technical solution from idea to verified solution
• Resolving issues, trade-offs, prioritization and cross-functional issues
• Value-based engineering solutions in support of products and projects
• Clear communication style
• Ability to adapt communication style to audience
• Good planning and organization skills
• Ability to logically analyze and manage complex situations
