transformers and reactors up to the highest occurring powers and voltages. The
unit also offers diagnostics, oil reclaiming, service and spare parts to
customers around the world. The Transformer unit in Ludvika has the core
competence within the ultra-high voltage levels that are required to transfer a
large amount of power over long distances. Most of the new technology for power
transformers is developed here in Ludvika.
The challenge: As Electrical Design Engineer you will join Power Transformers, a
business unit with global Power Transformer excellence in manufacturing and
design. You will dimension the transformer dielectrically, magnetically, but
also mechanically. Since each transformer is tailor made to suit customer needs,
you will work closely with the end customer when developing a technical
solution, which is material and loss optimized. You will also calculate tenders,
which includes cost calculations of transformers. In addition order calculations
and the role of technical point of contact will be your responsibility. For you
who have a solid interest in technology and an inquisitive personality, we can

process. Another part of the job involves working with development of the
product to continue being a leading manufacturer of large power transformers.
The requirements: You have a Master's in Engineering with a major in electrical
engineering, engineering physics, or similar. However, if you have worked for
several years, have a strong interest in Technology and the desire to specialize
in this area, a Bachelor Degree may be sufficient. Knowing Swedish is an
advantage as some internal instructions are in Swedish. Since our external
communication at ABB is in English, you need corresponding language skills. With
sole responsibility for technical solutions, independence and resolution are key
