The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of the responsibilities. The group Electric drives SW development is responsible for delivering SW functionality for the electric drive system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of SW.
As a Function developer in our group you will be part of a highly agile, scrum development team and deliver state of the art functionality. You will utilize a model based development process and be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine tuning of your functionality.
Main responsibilities
* Model based SW development of electric drives functionality
* Perform development testing in various test environments
* Perform calibration activities in vehicle
* Utilize Autosar structured architecture, workflow & tool chain
* Interact with suppliers about SW design solutions
Desired qualifications
* University degree within electronics, mechatronics, SW engineering or equivalent competence
* Simulink and model based SW development
* Relevant job experience relative to development of automotive SW and control systems
* Competence within Scrum/Agile development, Test automation, C-programming, SW build environments, Continuous integration framework, JIRA, Jenkins, SVN, INCA, SW testing (unit, MIL, SIL, HIL, Rigs, vehicle) is meritorious
* Electric motor vector control theory (for PMSM) is meritorious
* Good English skills, verbally and in writing
* Driver license B
Personal qualities
