hela Sverige Atlas Copco Surface Drilling Equipment Division are now looking for an electric engineer with interest in engines and engine installations. The position is part of the Rig System Design Group, whose other responsibilities are general electrics and electronics, hydraulics, compressor systems and total rig energy efficiency.
This is a new position with focus on the engine electric and electronics. The new generation of engines drives us to strengthen our knowledge and skills in this area in order to meet the needs from our customers as well as projects and our process for continue product improvements. The position will be responsible for all electric and electronics included in the power pack and will take care of the software issues and communication with the engine.
You will also be involved in general electric design work to support your colleagues.
You will work closely with all groups in the development department, but especially with other designers in the group. We work closely with other departments within our own division, but also with the Division Rocktec for software development.
Mission
You will be involved in engine related projects and activities and be responsible for system related issues and create needed documentation and specifications for software design concerning engine.
You will develop the engine related electrical design and secure the interface to the total rig system.
You will participate and represent the system design group in projects and activities to secure commonality of components as well as the complete rig system platform.
Experience requirements
You should have some years of professional experience in electric design and interest in engines
Meriting is to have experience from mobile control systems, cable harness design and engines
Knowledge
You shall have basic knowledge in modern engine technology and bus technology.
The position requires theoretical knowledge in development of electric systems and control of mobile applications Good knowledge in CAD and general computing is needed as well as good command in English both orally and in writing.
Education Requirements
You should have a documented academic background with an appropriate orientation or other highly qualified engineering background.
Personality Requirements
To enable you to enjoy the work you need to be self-sustaining, enterprising and willing to take responsibility. You must have a structured and analytical approach, where theory and practice can be combined, sometimes also requiring practical skills. The work is often conducted in project form, which gives high demands on good cooperation and communication ability.
