Main responsibilities
Together with the team, you will mainly be working with ECUs, sensors and other electrical components in both our conventional drivetrains as well as for our battery electric vehicles. While electronics and electromechanics are the main focus areas, you will be improving the whole system and work with system-level functionality. You will define, specify and test some well-balanced requirements in close collaboration with leading suppliers and sub-suppliers to achieve high quality, premium results. In order to succeed in the role, you need to take responsibility of your deliverables and both independently ensure to make progress while at the same time communicate cross-functionally.
Your main challenges will be:
• Being responsible for answering technical questions regarding the components that you own.
• Actively participate in discussions regarding interfaces and properties.
• Measure and verify the properties of the components that you own.
• Technical coordination internally between purchasing, R&D, production and aftermarket.
• Technical contact towards sub-suppliers with Teams/Skype meetings, combined with some face-to-face meetings and visits to our suppliers.
• Plan and coordinate the deliveries internally within Scania and also towards other customers within Traton.
Your Profile
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical, electromechanical or systems engineering (or similar) with an interest in technical product development. We believe you are curious and willing to learn new things to grow in your role and that you're a reliable and organised problem solver who takes pride in delivering with good quality. You lead your own work and are happy to take initiative to make progress. Further positive traits such as being a good team player with pedagogical skills together with a good sense of humor are much appreciated.
Work experience within electronics, electromechanics, embedded systems programming or power systems are advantageous. Experience from the automotive or transportation industry, a driver's license C or experience from working with suppliers and sub-suppliers are also benefits in this role.
