The overall objective of the department in which this position works is:
Establish a sunglass distribution center to serve our customers in an efficient and timely fashion. Continue to grow our distribution center to effectively and efficiently service our expanding customers. Provide outstanding customer service and support to our sales teams and accounts. Develop a positive team and family spirit in an environment that is productive, fun, friendly, and full of Aloha.
The major function of this position is:
Responsible for the collections of accounts receivable, customer account reconciliation, credit investigation for new accounts approvals, handling customer inquiries, posting of customer payments and monitoring credit hold file. Provide service that WOWs!
In order of importance, the principle responsibilities and duties of this position are:
Essential Duties:
1. Provide outstanding customer service to all customers, vendors, and team members.
2. Post customer payments daily in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Conduct outbound collection calls, faxes, e-mails and letters to past due accounts.
4. Monitor credit hold file making consistent and good decisions based on analysis of information.
5. Review and research credit applications for new accounts, including credit references, and interact with sales reps when appropriate.
6. Perform timely reconciliation of customer account balances. Monitor key, high maintenance accounts including in house accounts.
7. Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and process efficiencies.
8. Communicate with the Sales Executive the status of accounts on hold.
9. Answer incoming service calls to satisfy customer needs and provide follow-up as needed.
10. Provide back-up for shipping, including but not limited to picking, confirming, packaging and shipping daily orders.
11. Provide back-up for repairs and returns, according to Maui Jim standards
12. Continually seek improvement and find ways to WOW the customer. Identify and solve problems, recommend and implement process improvements.
Other Duties:
1. Perform all other work-related duties as requested or required.
2. Cooperate to maintain and grow the "Aloha spirit" in the office, with the reps and the accounts.
Desired Qualifications
A. As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:
University degree with 1-2 years AR and customer service experience. Danish-speaker required.
B. Listed below are the particular skills preferred for this position
To speak Danish since the job will include much contact with our Danish customers.
Ability to communicate in a variety of business settings.
Ability to utilize a PC and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
