About the role
Are you passionate about taking the electrical and electronic systems in our vehicles to the next level? As our new EE Roadmap leader, you will work in close collaboration with all departments throughout the Volvo group working with, or are affected by, our EE system. You will drive the complete EE system roadmap and secure alignment with and between these departments, including the business side. This means that you need to analyse both technical dependencies and portfolio dependencies between department roadmaps and to work towards resolving potential inconsistencies with the concerned stakeholders. By this, you also play an important role in anchoring necessary evolutionary steps of the EE architecture with the roadmaps and product plans in the bigger organization, as well as collecting needs and bottlenecks that help us to identify the next evolutionary steps of the architecture.
In addition to this, you will need to make sure that all prerequisites are in place, paving the road for realizing the roadmap in our product portfolio and backlogs.

More information about the role:
You will synchronise technology roadmaps cross streams in the EE domain
Scrutinize technology and detailed plans behind the roadmaps to identify gaps and inconsistencies, and work towards their resolution
Develop and maintain the Functional Base Product Specification, which specifies which product functionality that shall be introduced in which product at which point in time
Promote and organise AE activities that help us stay ahead of the roadmap
Anchor needed activities with our portfolio

Requirements:
MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Practical experience in EE and software related system and product development, leadership, and strategy work.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Good insight and understanding of the challenges and trends in EE Architecture.
A good eye on identifying gaps, flaws, and contradictions, as well as finding solutions for them.
You are a people person who loves to collaborate and build relationships.
