We are recruiting a product architect for our Electrical system. This is the area where we develop components and functionality for Volvo Buses in close collaboration with Volvo Truck.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Your main area of responsibility will be to have technical leadership with long term focus on our electrical architecture and system.
You will be a technical leader on department level and lead system owners distributed in the different technical areas of the department. You will lead the technical meeting and roadmap work for the department, plan and coordinate advanced engineering efforts, lead pre-study concept work for new projects and support technical investigations. You will in your role contribute to all our new exciting technical areas as autonomous vehicles and our electrical journey.
You will work closely with all teams within the department, cooperating and assisting with technical leadership in these teams is an important part of the work. Building a good social network with colleagues in other areas of Volvo bus as well as Volvo Group is a critical success factor for this role.
Since we are a smaller company, we all work with broad responsibilities and cross-functionally through the entire company, across many different departments, cultures, and competence areas. This position will be no different, coordinating with other development teams and stake holders here at buses will be important.

Our department, Electrical and Software Architecture is a function within Global Bus Technology (GBT) at Volvo Buses which is responsible to integrate Volvo group technology into our buses and develop bus unique solutions when needed. We are responsible to secure short- and long-term quality solutions on the electrical and software systems of the bus. In close cooperation with colleagues at different departments, we are supporting each other in reaching our mission in helping millions of travelers reaching their travel destination. All over the World. Every day.
THIS PROBABLY DEFINES YOU
We believe you have a minimum of 5 years of experience from electrical architecture work. You have a good understanding of automotive electrical and software architecture and experience from different parts of the development process.
Experience in leading and participating in teams and development networks, coordinating work across different competences to ensure the best end delivery is also valued. We think that you have a MSc degree in mechatronics/electrical/software engineering or equivalent. You are excellent at communication and networking, solution focused and eager to learn and work with your own development. You are fluent in English, spoken and written.
