Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
As our vehicles become smarter and system functionality continues to grow, the need for sensors and other electromechanical components is increasing. These components provide input to vehicle systems and perform specific tasks. To support this development, the unit TGREEVM – Mechatronics was established at the end of 2023. We are now growing the group further and are looking for new colleagues to strengthen the team.
Job Responsibilities
Our team is responsible for the hardware design of the sensors and electromechanical components used in the electrical architecture of our vehicles. We work closely with suppliers to source components, define technical requirements, and secure high‐quality integration into the vehicle platform. Our scope covers a wide range of vehicle-related electrical features, including audio systems, wireless chargers, USB interfaces, and various sensor solutions. As hardware responsible engineers, we ensure that each component meets performance expectations, aligns with system architecture, and delivers a seamless experience for the driver.
Team members are also part of global value-creation teams, where we collaborate with colleagues from different sites within TRATON Group R&D. Together, we define requirements for components that support future needs across the organization.
Who You Are
We are looking for a team member with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and an interest in electronics and hardware design. A background in electrical engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering is considered an advantage.
If you are motivated by working in an area with clear responsibility and the opportunity to influence the final result, we encourage you to apply. We offer a supportive and developing environment where we learn together every day and work closely to continue building an efficient and highly skilled team.
We are currently on a transformation journey towards more agile ways of working. This requires flexibility, structure and the ability to prioritize based on changing needs.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experience and perspectives is valuable to us.
TRATON Offers
We offer a dynamic and engaging workplace where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life. You will be part of a strong team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and close cooperation across functions.
With a structured development plan and a wide range of training opportunities, TRATON Group R&D supports your professional growth both locally and internationally.
Benefits include access to our health center in Gröndal or a wellness allowance, bonus, flexible working hours, and company car leasing. We also arrange events for employees and their families, and for those living in Stockholm, convenient commuting is supported through direct Scania Job express buses to Södertälje.
