Seeking an Editorial Copywriter to help us not only grow our business, but also to help grow our brand so that we can bring the best sleep in the world to more and more people.
Position Overview:
At Hästens, we believe remarkable talent, brand passion, a focus on culture and creative thinking add up to great work. We're looking for a creative thinker with excellent editorial writing and research skills to help us elevate our work as a full-time in-house writer. As a member of the creative team, the Editorial Copywriter will support key marketing stakeholders by writing and/or editing copy for a variety of project ths that will include: catalog, articles, blogs, and various other writing projects. The Editorial Copywriter will be an integral part of an in-house creative team, and will work closely with key stakeholders in marketing to turn ideas, marketing briefs, and other content into well-written and compelling communication. Thorough product research and interviews for projects will be necessary in order to support the written content regarding Hästens' heritage and position as sleep experts. Product descriptions on the web will be needed to support achievement of critical company goals. The most successful Editorial Copywriter will be a quick-learner who possesses versatility in their writing style and attention to detail and fact-checking skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support the marketing department and other key stakeholders cross-functionally through well-crafted editorial-style brand content
Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
Research and understand the stakeholders' needs and target audience via web searching, reviewing and interpreting existing information and data, interviewing subject matter experts, and partaking in-house departmental meetings
Write and edit original content within a broad-range of topics
Collaborate with internal marketing team from concept development to delivery of final product
Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related media degree
Preferred 4-5 years of professional editorial-style writing experience, with a solid portfolio of work
Exceptional writing and research skill
Ability to write/edit professionally in English and Swedish languages and make translation recommendations
Skilled at synthesizing copy and layout as you work in order for visuals and writing to support one another
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong focus on consumers and stakeholders
Be confident in your work, yet listen and be willing to take feedback and ideas
Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and inDesign
