hela Sverige Perido is now looking for an Editor for our client, an independent and important agency of the European Union. The position is placed at their office nicely located just outside of Stockholm city.
As an Editor, you will primarily work within the area of external communication. You will work in the editorial office at the agency to take part in producing different scientific publications. You will have a close collaboration with peer-reviewers and authors, and perform tasks such as:
• Edit and proof-read scientific publications
• Implement consistent formatting and layout of texts in preparation for publication
• Perform editorial tasks in collaboration with your colleagues
• Write short texts, such as publications abstracts
We believe that the right person for this job is accurate and have experience in editing and writing texts in English. You have a great commitment in reading and reviewing material thoroughly and you have an eye for details. In addition, your ability to organize your work and perform under pressure is excellent. You strive to keep a constant communication with your colleagues to achieve efficiency, even with short deadlines. We also believe that you are service oriented and enjoy working in a team.

Required qualifications
• Relevant education at university level
• Work experience within content editing and proof reading
• Good knowledge in formatting texts in MS Office and graphs and tables in Excel
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
Meritorious
• Having worked at a scientific journal before
• Good knowledge of InDesign
Contract type and hours
Full time, starting as soon as possible. Ending 2018-12-31 with possible extensions.
