Your future team
Our team, the Firmware system team, plays an important part in the development of solutions within Axis Software area. Our solutions are built to enable our partners and customers to manage multiple Axis devices at the same time on a site in an easy and efficient way. To develop these solutions our team is cross-collaborating with other teams at Axis. The way we work is very self-driven and autonomous but with a clear goal based on strategic roadmaps and backlog priority. Our team is actively developing software components both within AXIS OS (the device firmware) and outside of the device, like software run on client or cloud hardware. What is your role?
As an Edge to Cloud Developer in this team you are involved in all steps to develop a solution - from creating the idea to validating solutions with pilot customers. You will develop new cross functional features, edge to cloud, and then based on feedback and analytics further improve them for our solutions. Your responsibilities and your main tasks will include:
* Developing end to end features in both embedded and cloud environments
* Designing, Threat modelling, Programming, Reviewing, Documenting and Testing.
* Sharing the knowledge and competence with other teams and colleagues.
Who are you?
You will love this position if you are ambitious, willing to learn and interested in solving things together with others - teamwork and collaboration are essential to your success at Axis. As a person we believe that you are a developer who has a 'can do' attitude, enjoys working with a variety of tasks in complex environments both in embedded systems and in cloud. You also appreciate solving technical challenges. You are prepared to adapt and learn new technologies and tools to fit the need to what we develop.
In addition to the above we think you also have;
* A master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
* Experience from embedded programming, Linux environment and network.
* Ability to write and speak English fluently
It's a bonus if you have;
* Experience from working with open source, Linux based development, cloud and connected software platforms
* Knowledge of programming language C or Go
* Love agile development
