hela Sverige Scania is at the forefront of the development of autonomous trucks and an entire autonomous transport solution. A very important piece in the puzzle is to make sure that the communication between the base vehicle and automation stack works and is safe.
The Sesamm Street team develops the two redundant electronic control units (ECU) named Autonomous Control Unit (ACU), which act as the gateway and safety monitor between the vehicle and the robot. Sesamm Street is an agile team that collaborates in a scaled agile framework.
Your future job
Your job is to be the System Owner of ACU. The ACU handles power up and power down of the robot, emergency cut off from autonomous mode, and more. The ECU must also provide an adaptation to the set of autonomous variants in our vehicles so that the different robots we are working on have a simple interface for all vehicles.
Expect to be part of a product journey, where we will package the ACU from being a prototype to a finished product.
Your responsibilities
You need to understand the big picture of our system in the Autonomous Transport System. You will in many situations be in a leading position and coordinate other teams, including tasks such as the release of new ACU versions, troubleshooting, and passing tollgates for autonomous public road driving.
As a System Owner, you are responsible for the releases of the ACU, including risk analysis, variant management, and delivering a verified and stable system.
Your profile
You have
• a bachelor in computer science or similar,
• excellent English communication skills,
• and as a person, you have the ability to see the big picture, be self-driven, and show empathy to others.
It is an advantage with experience as System Owner for a Scania ECU, working with FMEA, requirements, and with release management.
We offer
Great collaboration in an agile team, an organization that continuously improves our processes and methods, a big challenge in building a failsafe system, and a really cool application in Scania's Autonomous Transport Solution that will revolutionize the way we think about and use trucks.
To succeed in our mission we embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. Our group is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
We are exploring new territory, and with that also comes great learning possibilities.
