Ecophon develops, manufactures and markets acoustic products and solutions for ceilings and walls.
Ecophon offers acoustics solutions all over the world to meet growing demands for good acoustic environments. Our head office is located just outside Helsingborg. We have production facilities in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Poland. Ecophon is part of the global company group Saint-Gobain, which is one of the 100 leading industrial companies in the world.
About the position
As Ecophon is in the initial phases of one of our largest and most important material and product development projects ever, we need to find someone who makes this the success story it is expected to be.
Your part in this is to work closely with our supplier of raw materials and their project coordination team as well as more or less all departments at Ecophon.
In addition, as this project is not only significant on a local basis, but also from a global point of view, you will interact with stakeholders from different countries and parts of the global Saint-Gobain organization.
As Project Manager you will set specifications and requirements to suppliers, you will set up and monitor the different stages of test production at Ecophon's production sites, you will evaluate and provide feedback and change requests to our suppliers, until the products are aligned with Ecophon's extensive quality standards.
This is of course a very simplified description, and there are lots of different areas within this, but it will give you a basic understanding.
Obviously, you will not do this alone. You have product experts and dedicated members from different departments to assist you, but you are the one holding responsibility for the budget, timeframe, administration, reporting and of course the final success of the project.
As Project Manager you will report to Ola, who is R&D and Innovation Director. He will be there to guide you and discuss ideas but we expect you to manage the project independently going forward. You will be based at Ecophon's HQ in Hyllinge outside of Helsingborg, but as this is a key position in an international project you will travel up to approximately 25% of your time.

So, who are we looking for?
We do believe you have a degree within engineering, preferably mechanical engineering, chemistry or construction. We require previous experience from successfully running larger development projects in an international environment, either as lead or sub-project manager, with the skillset to manage stakeholders on different levels of the organization.
We also believe that previous experience from upscaling will be valuable, i.e. taking a pilot project and implement it to full scale production.
There are some personal traits we would like you to have. First of all, we have the common ones for this kind of position; structured, organized, analytical with great leadership skills. No surprise there. But we also need you to be a true people person, with a communicative and pedagogical approach. You understand the structures in a global organization and can adapt to a fast changing environment. You aim at the solution, not the problem and although you might have the right solution on most occasions, you are wise enough to listen to others.
Your communication skills are excellent, and since you work in an international environment, we need you to master both Swedish and English verbally and in writing.
