AS AN ECONOMIST in the Modelling Divison, you will work with the Riksbank's macro models and participate in the production of forecasts and alternative scenarios for the material used as a basis when the Executive Board of the Riksbank takes monetary policy decisions. Your work will be reported in the Riksbank's Monetary Policy Reports, memoranda and articles. This work will also include developing our economic models and analytical methods, and participating in international working groups, seminars and conferences.

WE ARE SEEKING APPLICANTS who hold - or are close to gaining - a Ph.D. in Economics or Econometrics. You should have experience of economic or econometric models, if possible dynamic general equilibrium models. Experience of time-series econometrics, for example Vector Autoregressive (VAR) models, is an advantage. As this position involves a degree of programming, a good knowledge of Matlab or similar programming languages is necessary. Strong skills in English are a requirement. Understanding of Swedish will carry extra weight, as will skills in Eviews and Excel.
