As Business Development Director you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the areas of Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Service Enablement (SE). You will also establish new businesses outside and beyond current established business scope for Ericsson as well as strengthen innovation capabilities within our organization. The purpose is to secure growth options in new areas, to be a preferred partner for customers and other players, and to secure relevant innovation capabilities.
The main areas of responsibilities are;
• Seek new market opportunities within defined scope of OSS & SE market
• Provide oversight of strategy, technical and marketing aspects of our OSS & SE offerings
• Monitor and incorporate industry innovations into our OSS & SE offerings
• Analyze the competitive landscape
• Position our offerings for defined market segments (e.g. define how to sell and to whom) and determine optimum distribution strategies (e.g. where and how to best invest and build the offering/product)
• Create and maintain parts of our OSS & SE Business Plan
• Participate in production of marketing and go-to-market plans.

To join the Ericsson Excellerate Global Leadership Program you require:
• 2 degrees and one of them a master's degree in either business, marketing or economics
• 3-4 years of work experience from the Telecoms industry. Background from an operator or from Product management and/or Business development is beneficial
• Self-esteem, self-knowledge, social ability and an interest and potential in leading other people
• A global attitude; the role requires frequent traveling in order to meet customers and co-workers in a global working environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills and fluent in English and possibly one other language.
The role also requires that you possess a natural curiosity regarding trends and market development in the OSS domain and have a good understanding of the OSS & SE market. Your are good at building relations within Ericsson's different organizations and with our customers.
In addition, you are;
• Innovative in developing software business models, enabling customers' value adding capabilities and based on this create clear and competitive propositions for the customer
• Flexible in Business Modeling and sales approach meeting new market and customer demands
• Focused on business and results, plus have high energy and drive with high perseverance.
