Do you have a genuine interest for testing? Are you ready for a new challenge? We are now looking for a new colleague, responsible for Over The Air (OTA) updates.
The group Base tech verification is a part of the section Diagnostics and ECU Platform which is responsible for all base technologies in the electrical platform of the car. The base technologies that forms the base for the entire car electrical system. Base technologies are e.g. network design, communication technology and the diagnostic system. The group today includes 20 persons and we are responsible for in-vehicle integration and systems testing of all software in all car projects.
We are now increasing the scope of the group to also be responsible for verifying the Over the air testing (OTA) solution, from the VCC backend systems to the end car user of software in our cars. We are now looking for two E2E Testers to be part of the over the air E2E test team.
The connected car is one of the main focus areas at Volvo Cars and aims to deliver the next generation of connected vehicles and services. Over The Air update is the process of updating software in cars over the Internet.
Main responsibilities
You main task will be to validate the OTA solution from an end-user functional and acceptance perspective. When performing validations, you will be using both, test rigs and test cars. You will be responsible to writing test specification and validate the solution. You will have to build a good contact network in the Volvo Cars organization, both requirement and testing wise.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc or B.Sc. within electronics, physics, mechatronic or equivalent
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Good knowledge of Volvo Cars backend systems like PIE
* Good knowledge of VIDA and aftermarket
* Experience of one or several tools such as: Vector tool CANalyzer and CANoe
* Meritorious are also former experience of expeditions
* Certified by "International Software Testing Qualifications Board" (ISTQB) is meritorious
* Experience in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python/Bash/CAPL is meritorious
* Driving license "B"

You are social and communicative person, able to act pro-actively and with your own drive. We need you to be self-going, with positive and proactive approach. Further, in following up the work we need you to be well structured and organized.
