Our Exciting Opportunity
We are looking for a BSS System Deployment Architect with focus on leading the Ericsson BSS offerings into a highly automated, cloud native and cost-efficient portfolio to deploy, maintain and expend for our customers and for our internal work. As a key member in our multinational technology evolution team, you will work with our colleges in R&D, product management, strategy and sales to secure the most competitive and streamlined portfolio with an architecture evolution to meet the futures business requirements and market windows. You will also be leading competence management on technology platform strategy and architecture within SA BSS.
The Team:
The core role of the BSS Technology Evolution Team is to ensure a leading Ericsson BSS portfolio from a technology and architecture perspective. We support Ericsson SA BSS fulfilling market expectations, being smart and simple to manage in our customers' business and IT environment by:
BSS Thought Leadership
Provide Thought Leadership and Vision in areas of Business Support, Technology, Architecture, Data Modelling and User Experience
Architecture evolution
Drive and support technology decisions to secure an optimized, streamlined portfolio with an architecture evolution to meet the futures business requirements and market windows
Technology Leadership
Guiding, Influencing and Leading Solution Area BSS to maximize value in new areas of architecture and technology
We are a small team mainly distributed to and co-located with the main BSS Sites in India, Canada, Sweden and Germany.
Education and Experience
Bachelor Degree is preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields
5+ years of experience with Systems Administration in a *nix environment
5+ years of experience from s/w development using modern ci/cd tools with languages such as Python, Golang or Java
Certifications in relevant software development/site reliability engineering plus 2-5 years of relevant experience
Skills
Experience designing and implementing orchestration and automation
Experience with other modern performance monitoring and diagnostics tools (examples: AppD, Dynatrace, WireShark, etc.)
Experience from using modern APM tooling's such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog etc .. In heterogeneous distributed systems.
Be a technical expert with expertise across multiple technology areas and the ability to diagnose complex issues throughout many technologies.
Must be able to identify risks to applications being instrumented and monitored.
Must be able to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms.
Identifying symptoms for process improvement.
Analytical, investigation, and organization skills.
Communications including being able to craft content for executive level presentations.
IT background and ability to understand technical content.
To be successful in the role you must have
Familiar with industry standards such as ETSI, 3GPP, Open stack, CNCF, ONF, ODL, OCP and others
Contribute to Open Source - OpenStack, OPNFV, OpenShift, ONAP, Cloudify, etc.
Must have participated and contributed with evidence towards Innovation/Proof of Concept/Patents/Hackathon
Delivered Large Customer projects.
Solid experience in Python programming and Go-lang skills.
Hands on working experience in Kubernetes deployments, Docker and Helm charts
Proficiency in Linux OS, shell scripting, Ansible/Puppet scripting
An excellent Inter-personal skills along with superb communication skills in written and spoken English
You should be Task oriented & capable to work in multi-functional teams
