In this position, you will be responsible for developing innovative manufacturing methods and expanding the capabilities of our production/prototyping processes. Your role will focus on designing and implementing manufacturing solutions, including custom jigs, fixtures, and automation systems, as well as programming PLCs and HMIs. You will take an active role in pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in manufacturing. You will work in close collaboration with our development engineers, test engineers and production team.

Your main tasks will be:

- To design, develop, and implement jigs, production machine prototypes
- To program and troubleshoot prototype machines, PLCs and HMIs
- To ensure all machinery and tooling comply with safety regulations and industry standards
- To support production teams in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment
- To collaborate with design and production teams to optimize equipment and tooling
- To assist in training technicians and operators on proper equipment use and safety protocols
- To support procurement, prototype and production departments
To be successful as an E-Motor Prototype Engineer you shall have the following capabilities and experience:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, automotive or aerospace engineering (or equivalent)
- R&D experience in prototyping - (minimum 3 years) ideally with cutting edge technologies
- Design experience with CATIA V5/V6 (minimum 2 years)
- Experience in designing and building jigs, tooling, production machines
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and HMIs
- Understanding of prototyping, production technologies, and validation procedures
- Experience with design for modern manufacturing methods
- Work experience with PLM system
- Knowledge of machinery safety regulations and industry standards
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Flexibility and 'can-do' attitude
- Fluent in English
It is meritorious if you have:

- Experience with top-down design
- Work experience from working with FEA
- Experience with electric motor or HV equipment design
- Experience within design of castings or injection molded parts
- Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE
