Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Bus industry is facing a disruptive transformation to electrification and autonomous driving. Many people believe that this change starts in the cities and the bus industry. Do you want to be part of this change and contribute to the future development of buses and coaches?

We are looking for a dedicated technical product planner, primarily within the E-mobility area, who wants the guide the rest of the organization to develop sustainable products for transport of people in the future.

Your work assignments

As a technical product planner, the main task is to guide the rest of R&D to make the right technical choices in order to get commercial competitive bus & coach products in the future and to meet the long term application and product strategies. Making clear and cross-functionally well-established roadmaps within your responsible area is therefore important. Based on these roadmaps you are responsible to initiate necessary bus projects and to safe-guard that the right components or systems are developed by R&D.

You will be a part of our group where you will find great commitment and openness ,and as a natural part, we support each other even beyond our regular roles. We are working in a global environment and you will have contacts from all over the world both inside and outside R&D. The role involves close cooperation with our colleagues in the bus commercial product planning department to ensure that needs and strategies are met by executing the projects in the product roadmaps. It is important to challenge our way of working and you will provide ideas to make our work even more efficient.

Your profile

You have a broad technical knowledge/interest and you probably have an BSc/MSc in engineering or similar. You are good at strategic thinking and you have the ability to zoom out to see the big picture but also to understand the critical technical issues. You are driven, flexible, positive and you like to communicate and work with others to come to a common understanding. You always find a way forward and you have no problem to anchor cross-functional decisions.

You are good at simplifying, illustrating and communicating complex questions or future scenarios to be able to take well-grounded decision. A sense of order is necessary to be able to document and organize information in a smart way.

You have some years of experience from working within Scania R&D or market department. Experience from the bus business and/or component development is meritorious.

Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both written and oral, is a requirement.
