The Enterprise Services Domain within the Digital Department is a large and varied environment covering many disparate functions, with overall responsibility for serving the wider enterprise with digital products and services to enable, run and protect the business. Enterprise Services strives to harmonize strategy, technology and operations across domains and boundaries creating an intuitive and symphonic digital enterprise.
What you'll do
As the Domain Architect you will own the architectural vision and technical solutions for the domain, in close alignment with Enterprise Architecture. In this role you will work closely with the domain teams to create modular and scalable solutions that address future architectural changes and designs.
Polestar adopts a "cloud first" policy to deliver digital business value. We operate a multi-cloud strategy based on AWS and Microsoft Azure combined with different iPaaS and SaaS solutions on both public and private clouds. Our bespoke systems are developed on AWS allowing us to develop fast and focus on delivering customer experience, while the Enterprise infrastructure back-bone relies on Azure. We manage a global network connecting our main sites across the world with our satellite units for sales and marketing. This role will mainly focus on enterprise infrastructure, ensuring a scalable and maintainable global infrastructure covering hosting and storage solutions, client hardware, as well as network setup.
Other tasks you will be accountable for:
Analyse business opportunities
• Identify opportunities presented by new technology
• Estimate cost optimizations by new technology
Analyse and define domain architecture
• Review existing IT architecture
• Perform gap analysis according to strategy, technology, security and standards
• Produce low-risk mitigation plans
Consult and support in projects
• Produce and communicate guard rails for enterprise development
• Review and align technical proposals from projects
• Participate in handover and operations establishment

To be a great fit for this position we believe you have:
• A strong Infrastructure Architect with additional experience working with cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• Seasoned technical lead with deep insight into the newest technology trends
• Significant experience with agile infrastructure, environments, and deployment strategies/technologies to drive efficient working practices
• Can make architectural decisions at both domain and digital product level
• Experienced in working on projects that span across multiple teams and digital products
• Keen sense of design thinking
• Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions
