The Emission Compliance Department is now looking for a Documentation Engineer.
About us
Twenty highly skilled engineers are working with Emission Certification, Documentation, In-use measurement, Conformity of Production, Reporting to authorities, Legal understanding and emission labelling. We are responsible for emission certification and compliance for all Volvo Penta products all over the world. We work with both marine and industrial engines. We have a broad network both internally and externally.
Position description
As Documentation Engineer within Engine Compliance Team your role will be to collaborate with project team members and Product Development to structure and document how a complex Compression Ignition Engine works for the purpose of Type Approval and Engine Certification. Your challenge is to gather all relevant data and information and organize the information in a presentable format for authorities. You will be our technical writer with knowledge about our diesel engines, software functions and after treatment systems. We need a person that is driven and self-going but also able to interact with other teams.

Gather all relevant data and information and organize the information in a presentable format for authorities
Keep track and update current documentation
Organize documents on server

Desirable experience and qualifications
Qualifications in academic Technical education, MSc or equivalent
Excellent management skills, ability to set and fulfil priorities, independence and time management capabilities
Good knowledge about diesel engines and control strategies (eg OBD)
Knowledge of graphic design elements
Have strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities
It is also important to have good experience with Adobe/Office software or similar
Good communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and in discussions
Fluent in Swedish and English is a minimum
