Business Administration
Research in Business Administration is currently concentrated in two areas: the dynamics of entrepreneurship, and public organisation and leadership. Our ambition is to expand into other fields (including marketing, management and financial accounting), in order to create a strong link between research and teaching within the discipline. Business Administration co-operates extensively with researchers from other disciplines.

Politics, Economy and the Organisation of Society
The research area consists of three academic disciplines - Business Administration, Political Science and Sociology - and is primarily concerned with change and interaction in modern societies. It combines interdisciplinary research with studies that are anchored in one of the three disciplines. Business Administration at Södertörn University includes entrepreneurship and public organisation and leadership among its major research areas. Political Science has particular strength in comparative politics and international relations. Sociology, finally, focuses on gender, health, labour relations, social welfare and urban studies, including general sociological theory and methodological issues. All three disciplines have strong research records within Baltic and East European studies.
