hela Sverige At the Faculty of Textiles, Engineering and Business, research and education are conducted in business administration, industrial engineering and management, resource recovery, building technology, and within the textile field: design, management and technology.
The Faculty has five departments: the Department of Business Administration and Textile Management, the Department of Engineering, the Department of Resource Recovery and Building Technology, the Department of Textile Technology, and the Department of Design. The Swedish School of Textiles, as well as the two centres, the Centre for Sustainable Society Development and the Swedish Institute for Innovative Retailing/The Retail Lab, are other important elements within the Faculty. At the Faculty, there are also two research schools, in Resource Recovery and Textile and Fashion.
We are now seeking a doctoral student for a project that aims to increase the understanding of the challenges, obstacles, and opportunities that people experience in the transition to more sustainable consumption practices with a focus on clothing, shoes, and beauty products. This doctoral studentship employment will be with the Department of Business Administration and Textile Management with Daniel Hjelmgren as immediate manager.
Job description
Doctoral studentship employment includes five years of study at 80% in order to achieve a doctoral degree. In addition, 20% departmental duties with teaching and/or administrative tasks is included.
Doctoral students are employed according to the regulations outlined in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance. The study period corresponds to a maximum of four years of full-time study. The first employment period covers one year and is normally renewed by one year at a time. If departmental duties are included, the doctoral education period is extended to a maximum of five years.
Qualifications
The employment requires at a minimum a Master's degree in textile management, business administration, or equivalent competence. In addition, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both speaking and writing, as well as a good ability to both collaborate and work independently.
For the position, it is a merit to have previous experience of work in similar projects.
Employment takes place under the condition that the applicant fulfills the requirements and is accepted as a doctoral student. Admission is to the doctoral education programme in Textile Management.
