The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, GIH, announces a position as a doctoral student in the subject of Sport Sciences within the area: Performance and training with focus on concurrent training for elite athletes in team sports.
Project description:
The PhD project is within the field of applied sport science with focus on training and performance outcomes in highly trained team sport athletes. The aim of the project is to better understand the effect of concurrent strength and endurance training on different strength related parameters and on the development of anaerobic and aerobic power/capacity. For example, studies examining the order effect of strength and endurance as well as the effect of endurance intensity and modality will be included in the project. This research area is of interest not only for elite athlete performance per se but also for the broader public because it might increase national prestige and motivate more youths and adults to take part in sports and physical activity.
