About the doctoral position and requirements
The doctoral position requires that the applicant can be admitted to the doctoral program in Computer and Systems Sciences. Both general and specific academic entry requirements must be met, see:

The doctoral position involves four years of full-time studies: one year financed by doctoral grant, three years by doctoral studentship. The position may involve admin/teaching duties up to 20%, which gives that the position is prolonged corresponding to the time of admin/ teaching work. The position requires good English skills, while the command of Swedish is a further advantage.
Research studies will be conducted in IT and Learning and may be based on own project ideas, or start from some project drafts, and preferably focus on simulated (virtual) learning.
Requirements related to the specialization:
• Necessary background
o Interest in IT, Simulation and Learning
o Master or similar university level in Computer science, Systems science, Health informatics or any other subject that is closely related to the position (including education, healthcare, or other disciplines)
o Ability to work independent but at the same time willing to work in teams
• Other skills and merits highly valued
o Programming skills
o Experience in Virtual learning environments or Simulation
o Experience in projects regarding ICT and learning
o Experience in teaching
Selection criteria
• Independence in analyzing and structuring previous work,
• Formulation of problem and cogency in previous work,
• Proven ability to adhere to prescribed timetables,
• Competence in IT and Learning,
• Methodological and scientific maturity, and
• Good abilities in communication and cooperation.

• Other qualifications that the applicant wishes to present as a basis for admittance.
