On behalf of Ovako, AxÖ Consulting is looking for you who are interested in working as an Application Engineer for Powertrain Systems at the group function Industry Solutions Development within Group Marketing and Technology.

Tasks
In the role as Application Engineer Powertrain Systems you will meet a variety of tasks where you, together with Ovako's customers, will develop new products. You will work with a system overview approach and apply material property driven design to moving parts in powertrain systems.
You will be part of a unique team where most of your working days are spent in projects with system owners and OEM's, beyond the normal customer interface. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both external and internal stakeholders are therefore required.
Ovako offers you a truly global approach, with counterparts that act on several continents.
In this position, you will be located at the Group Function Industry Solutions Development in Hofors. The position is open for a senior or junior engineer. Selection will be based on skill. Travels are expected.
Profile
To be successful in the role as Application Engineer Powertrain Systems you are solution-oriented and self-motivated. You relish challenges and push yourself to continuously develop your skills and support the development of colleagues and your workplace. One of your strengths is building relationships and trust, as part of the work is regular contacts beyond the normal customer interface where excellent collaboration is key. You are a person who contributes to a positive atmosphere in your team.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a PhD, MSc or similar in mechanical engineering and/or design. You have five years of industrial experience from design and engineering of mechanical components and systems. Experience from manufacturing is preferred. Project management experience is required. A good proficiency in English is required to be able to communicate with global stakeholders, additional languages are an advantage.
