Our goal is to deliver massive sales numbers to all of our connected merchants, while delivering the best bargain shopping experience to our customers. Fyndiq's platform facilitates the sale of thousands of products from hundreds of merchants every day. Fyndiq's growth is substantial, both revenue and traffic to the site grows 25% on a month-to-month basis. We are a young company of around 45 people with a tech team of six highly skilled engineers. We are now looking for a highly skilled Django/Python developer to our tech team.
How we work
At Fyndiq we work in a way inspired by the open source community, and we rely heavily on communication via Github. We develop everything, from server infrastructure and the backend code written in Python/Django to frontend parts in JavaScript and HTML. In the tech team we take pride in creating elegant, simple solutions that are fast and scale well. We take pride in writing clean, well documented code that is easily maintained. Our tech team is also very focused on creating and streamlining our internal processes.
We believe in carefully choosing the right tool for the task, regardless if it is a well-tried software from the 80s, something newly released and trendy or if we are developing a new solution in-house from scratch. We believe in the satisfaction of doing a good and sound job to be proud of. We also believe in sharing knowledge within the team and that one should be able to complement one’s knowledge in weaker areas. If you are not already an ass- kicking all-round developer you will definitely be one after a few months at Fyndiq!
What we do
The work at Fyndiq is varying and examples of projects can be as follows
• develop a scalable platform for gathering and analyzing events on the site
• create an intelligent system for automatic product review which detects incorrect grammar, bad product images etc.
• implement a product search system that scales to millions of products
Your profile
• Excellent programming skills
• Experience from web development and good understanding of web
• Enjoy working in a fast growing and entrepreneurial startup company
• Good knowledge in databases

• My SQL
You don’t need to have previous knowledge of all techniques mentioned above, if you are the sort of person we are looking for, you will probably learn what you need to know fast enough anyway.
We use English as working language in the company, but if you know Swedish as well it is of course a big plus. We want to offer you an employment and are not looking for consultants.
