We are currently looking for a Senior strategic person that can lead and take ownership of the EMEAs distribution transformation journey here at Polestar. We are looking for someone that can challenge the business, find efficient solutions, and drive out-of-the-box ideas. You should also love and embrace change and have deep knowledge of Supply chain and Order to Delivery processes.

This team is part of the Order to Delivery department with a vision to enable a sustainable, efficient, and accurate order-to-delivery experience for the final customer.

We are currently looking for you who are ready to take on this exciting role working with Distribution and Network development with a focus on enhancing and optimizing Polestars vehicle and distribution processes.

This position is based at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you'll do

In this role, you will act as a key stakeholder to ensure that processes, systems, and supplier pre-conditions are engineered to support the best possible output within EMEA. With a close collaboration with local and global peers, you will ensure the best possible performance in distribution from our factories to Polestar's handover locations.

Since this is a strategic role, an emphasis will be placed on structural improvements. Also, you will develop and follow up on distribution processes to best support Polestar's Direct-to-Consumer business model. You will be leading the distribution network development with our partners and related stakeholders for EMEA. You will work both externally and internally. You will also be working on improving and/or setting the standard distribution processes.

Furthermore, you will work in close cooperation with Polestar's Order-to-Delivery and Logistics teams.

As the Distribution Engineering and Development - EMEA Lead, you will be responsible for leading the engineering and development of distribution solutions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will develop distribution strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Additionally, you will:

• Lead the process engineering work that relates to logistic process design and secure that service levels, lead times and cost is at an optimal balance to support our Direct-to-Consumer business model

• Secure the continuous improvements, reviews, and follow-ups on EMEAs logistic service level agreements and that they are updated and maintained.

• Developing and implementing distribution processes and strategies that support regional business goals and objectives.

• Manage and maintain the reporting of the area of responsibility's related KPIs (key performance indicators)

• Manage, develop, and maintain the logistic cost engineering and budget work related to EMEA Region.

• Develop a distribution strategy and transformation roadmap to optimize network design, processes, and technology to deliver the highest levels of service, and sustainability at the lowest cost.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver distribution transformation initiatives through scoping, feasibility analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation.

• Building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders, regional teams, and external partners to drive collaboration and alignment.

• Collaborate and sometimes take the lead for special projects, car programs, and sourcing initiatives, etc for EMEA that support the development of innovative distribution solutions.

Who you are

To be a great fit for this role, we are looking for you with a 'can-do' attitude and top-notch organizational skills consisting of attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

You have a strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving competence.

In your broad experience of communicating with different stakeholders, you have gained strong multi-disciplinary skills in business and financial analytics, modeling, strategic planning, marketing and research, public speaking, and negotiation.

Additionally, you are comfortable traveling if required, and you have a thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods.

The ideal candidate must be willing to roll-up sleeves and dive into the weeds.

Further on, we are searching for you who have:

A BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field

Proven track record of Business Development, Project Management, or other

managerial positions

Experience in Business Operations, Outbound Vehicle Logistics, and Supply Chain or Value Chain Management areas

Excellent knowledge of MS 0365 Suite and performance evaluation and change management principles

High proficiency in building cases based on large data sets

Also, it is meritorious if you have an MSc/MA and/or have additional language skills.
