hela Sverige The Director, Wheel Loader Product Platform owns the product targets and is responsible for the product?s total life cycle performance. This person must maintain and develop the product line competencies over time to ensure product excellence. They use their product and customer knowledge to deliver products according to the product strategy and business plan.
• Responsible for the product targets, specifications and ultimate performance of the complete machines relative to customer need.
• Responsible for the creation of the complete machine packaging of the sub-systems to create the optimum machine for the customer and business.
• Responsible deliver products according to the future product strategies related to optimizing the Product offering.
• Owns the all product configuration & prioritization of product target tradeoffs.
• Drives product cost targets linked to the business needs.
• Drives product targets to maximize the design for manufacturability and assembly.
• Drives product targets to meet all Volvo Core Value and legal regulation plans.
• Owns the authority to sign applicable declarations and deviations for products placed on the market.
• Is the main point of contact for external product inquiries, demands and tradeoffs on the product.
• Develops, maintains and provides the necessary skilled complete machine engineering resources to Product Line projects.
Education:
• Minimum University degree BSc in Engineering discipline
• 5 years? experience leading leaders (Global teams is an asset)
• 10 years? experience in engineering design management
• Experience in communication methods and channels
• Experience working in global and regional networks
• Experience in strategy development methods
• Experience in systems engineering an asset
• Experience in customer interaction and business value
• Business acumen
Addition important requirements:
• Specific expertise in Wheel Loader machines and their application
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong background in technology and engineering systems
• Strong Cultural awareness
• Travel - occasionally
