Getinge Group's current organizational structure, comprising three independent business areas, will from the 1st of January 2016 be replaced with a functional structure. This will entail better opportunities for focusing on the needs of each individual customer, the harmonization of processes, and a significantly more efficient and focused management of the Group.
We are therefore recruiting a Director Training & Academy to take on the responsibility for Training & Academy within our recently established EMEA Sales Region. The position is new and offers great opportunity for an experienced and results-oriented Training professional to drive, harmonize and develop our Training & Academy activities across our EMEA Sales Region!
In this position you will be responsible for planning and coordination of Sales, Clinical, Product, on-boarding training and educational programs for Getinge employees, distributors and customers within EMEA. The Director Training and Academy EMEA controls the delivery of ongoing training to internal employees and customers in areas including product knowledge, selling skills, Getinge technologies and utilization best practices. Training will include instructor-led training, self-paced tutorials and web delivery methods. The position involves staff liability for two direct reports and will report to VP Marketing EMEA.
Some of your key tasks will be:
Internal training:
• Coordination of all EMEA Internal employee training according to Getinge training standards incl. "Train the Trainers" Programs.
• Develop, implement and coordinate training concept & plan for product training and education programs for Getinge EMEA teams.
• Monitoring of qualification processes by checking regulatory and quality compliance
• Track training programs to help reach/meet sales objectives
• Evaluate Getinge product training needs by evaluating employee knowledge, skills and abilities against needs of job, and identifying gaps where training is needed.
• Coordinate regional trainer network to ensure proper content and deliverables in training materials and within regulatory compliance.
• Ensure training is innovative, engaging and supports our brand values.
• Report regional training data and indicators to Global Training, participation in Getinge Training Councils and related activities.
• Assist in audits and the review of quality processes within Training Department
External training:
• Coordination of EMEA external training and Management of EMEA Clinical & Application Pools according to Getinge training standards, including training update management for Trainers & regular assessment
• Develop, implement and coordinate a training plan for product/application training and education programs for Getinge EMEA teams and external customers.
• Track external training programs to prioritize with Sales / Marketing management to reach/meet EMEA sales objectives
Sales Training:
• Plan and Conduct EMEA Sales & Commercial Excellence Training in coordination with Commercial Excellence Leaders and according to Getinge training standards
• Conducts or coordinates Commercial Excellence Trainings according to Getinge standards.
The position will be based close to any of the Getinge country office which is close to an International airport, ideally Rastatt, Houghton-Regis or Malmö.
Domestic and international travel is estimated to 30-40%.
The ideal candidate:
As ideal for the position you have an academic degree or equivalent - preferably in the area of training together with well-documented experience from internal, external and sales training. Some additional skills include:
• Sales / Commercial Excellence training expertise - certification in conducting Sales training is preferred
• Experience from the healthcare industry would be an advantage
• Business acumen and understanding of business context to create appropriate and applicable training content
• Proven writing and verbal English communication skills - English as mother tongue or equivalent fluency is required. Additional language will be an advantage.
• Management skills
• Must exhibit leadership and mentoring sensibilities related to training within a professional environment; understanding of adult learning principles.
• Must have Project Management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
• Must be aware of the training and performance trends, including alternative media and approaches
