Description
Tetra Laval Food for Development (FfD) is the arm of Tetra Pak and DeLaval that coordinates and makes available the group's extensive knowledge and experi-ence in school feeding and nutrition programmes linked to agricultural and dairy development programmes that the group has gathered over the years.
FfD helps governments to develop and implement school milk and school feeding programmes and to link these programmes to dairy and agricultural development programmes based on public private partnerships. Currently we are engaged in almost 60 school milk and school feeding programmes, serving 66 million children.
The role as Director Food for Development is based at Tetra Laval AB, Stockholm and reports to the Group Communications Officer,Tetra Laval.
In this challenging and important position you will lead the work of FfD together with 6 direct reports and the position includes extensive travels to mainly developing countries.
Main responsibilities
• Cooperate with Tetra Pak and Sidel to support on-going school feeding programmes and the development and implementation of new school feeding programmes by sharing experiences, promoting support to local resources and allocat-ing central FfD resources
• Cooperate with Tetra Pak and DeLaval to support on-going Dairy Hub projects and the development of new Dairy Hub projects with key Tetra Pak customers prepared to build up long term cooperation with small holder farmers
• Lead & coordinate the work to maintain and grow good cooperation with UN agencies, international and local development agencies, global NGOs and private agencies to access funding, advocacy or other type of support to help governments and customers scale up school feeding and dairy de-velopment programmes in developing countries
• Support in the development of a communication platform & plan, promote that FfD activities are in-cluded in global management's communication and represent FfD in different forums and confer-ences
• Be an active team member in the Tetra Pak DiP - Deeper in the Pyramid network driven by Product Management & Commercial Operations (PMCO
• Coordinate the work to continue and grow the Myanmar school milk programme
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced business leader with experience from working in commercial / sales or finance area in an international environment.
Preferably you possess experience from business development work in developing countries as well as experience of working with development agencies, such as UN agencies, NGOs etc. Necessary is also previous Management experience, preferably from leading a team with personnel located in different parts of the world.
You are a sales- and solution oriented professional with excellent Communications skills, has a pragmatic approach and possess good Project management experience and track record. You have great social-, listening and networking skills and have the ability to engage teams and empower team members.
Your educational background is a University degree, preferably within Business Administration, Financial or equivalent.
Finally, a very good command of English, both written and oral is required. Additional language skills are seen as a merit.
