IT Services is a new organization, with an end-to-end responsibility for all development, delivery and support of IT solution for the Volvo Group. We work closely together with the P&IT functions in the Truck Divisions and Business Areas to make sure that business needs are met in the best way.
Solution delivery Unit DVP
Solution delivery Unit DVP (?Develop Product & Aftermarket Product Portfolio?) is a global unit within IT services. The mission of the unit is to ensure that the Volvo Group's IT solutions and IT projects within the area of DVP are managed in an optimal way.
Solution Center CAD, vPDM and VM
The Solution Center CAD, vPDM and VM is the unit, within Solution delivery Unit DVP, that has the responsibility to managing the deliveries for all solutions in the CAD, vPDM and Configuration as well as in the Virtual Manufacturing portfolios. The Solution Center has full responsibility on runtime (cost, quality of service) and on the delivery of the IT part of P&IT projects.
We are now looking for a Director DVP Solution Center CAD, vPDM and VM
As Director Solution Center CAD, vPDM and VM, you will have responsibility for all the deliveries in the sub-portfolios of the unit. You will drive the organization through line management, be fully responsible for runtime and project deliveries according to P&IT demands.
You will report to the VP Solution Delivery Unit DVP, in Volvo Group IT Services.
Role mission & context
As director of the Solution Unit, you have responsibility for its performance and development. You operate in a global context, having a number of interfaces to business as well as Process&IT stakeholders within the Volvo group.
Key responsibilities
Full life-cycle responsibility for IT portfolio (core) solutions:
To manage the pre-studies, development and integration of new IT Solutions and new releases of the portfolio solutions
To manage the maintenance and evolution of IT solutions of the portfiolio solutions
Actively contribute in Long Term Planning and Solution Roadmap Development
Participate in strategic dialogue with corresponding TD/BA
Create and maintain solution roadmap consistently with BSPM sub-portfolio roadmap
Understand and estimate efforts for ND/EN business requirements
Drive decommissioning according to solution roadmap
Ensure effective ?end-to-end ? solution delivery and support
Drive key user network
Develop training material & secure training execution
Set up and optimize delivery structure, maintenance and support organization
Manage and report runtime costs and service levels
Secure capacity and competence development to support the solution roadmap
Vendor management for software suppliers
External sourcing of work packages from system integrators and delivery follow-up
Within the domain
Promote cross TD/BA synergies and secure synergies with external business
Promote and champion innovation
Drive external market intelligence (trends etc)
As Director Solution Center CAD, vPDM and VM, you will have the following authority :
Staffing of the delivery team
Solution design, development and integration within the appointed/emerging portfolio
Accountable for make/buy decisions and partner selection (in dialogue with IT Purchasing) as relates to sourcing of IT work packages
