What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
You will be part of Gripen Sales and Marketing Support team working with Saab Group Strategy and specificly Saab Global Innovation (SGI). SGI is a unique function and resource with the mission to support and co-ordinate international research, development, innovation and higher education activities for business development, branding, lobbying and industrial cooperation. The objective is to support Saabs and Gripens major business opportunities and longterm strategic intrests in selected markets. SGI further helps in the creation of Saabs Innovation and Technology Strategies and supports Gripen with strategic marketing and business development. The activities initiated and supported by SGI have the purpose to strengthen Saab branding leveraging the Swedish Innovative image and build relationships that support sales processes. As working with Saab group strategy you will have an overview of the entire Saab portfolio and activities and be part of driving Saab RD&I actvities and strategies.
Example of activities used are:
Swedish bilateral Research, Development & Innovation (R,D&I) arenas in key markets as well as innovation and resarch centers. These aim to combine the interests of local and Swedish governmental, academic and industry partners in a triple-helix setting.
Training programs, guest lectures and scholarships to customers and partners to build relations, trust and expose our offers.
Research, Development & Innovation projects with customers or local partners.
Matchmaking and Branding events
These activities refer to the Swedish image of innovation and are developed together with the Saab R&D and marketing organization, universities, governmental agencies and other companies.
Your role
Identify, develop, coordinate and deliver marketing and business development projects related to R,D&I. Together with Saab Business Areas/Market Areas, Swedish organizations, universities and companies arrange events, scholarships, R&D workshops, matchmaking, education, R&D projects etc. These tasks includes mobilizing internal and external resources both in term of manpower and funding, set up project teams and assuring results for Saab Business and Market Areas. All this in close contacts with local organizations in Saab key markets. Part of the job will include traveling both within Sweden and globaly.
Your skills and experience
You have been working within Saab for a couple of years and/or with experience from other large Swedish companies. It is positive having part of your previous career in an academy or at a research institute or in other way involved in the Swedish innovation systems. You are fluent in English, additional languges is a merit and we believe that your previous work positions include business development, marketing and/or R&D area in an international environment. Master degree is a preference and higher academic degree is a merit.
You are a positive and confident communicator with the ability to influence a wide range of people. You also have the ability to lead, influence and motivate teams internally as well as externally. You have the ability to think strategic but also work very operational,accepting a lot of changes and being able to think outside the box. It is also essential to be a team player.
