hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Amo Uppsala AB i Uppsala As the Head of R&D you will manage a group of total tree persons at OVD (Ophthalmic Viscosurgical Device) R&D, Site Uppsala. You will be reporting both to the R&D Director in Santa Ana, California, and to the Site Director in Uppsala, where the current position is located. In this position you will direct and control the technical resources needed for the research and development of OVD products and related surgical products, which contain viscoelastic material. You will also manage multiple projects and act as a project or program manager.
You will work with R & D supporting functions, including clinical research and regulatory affairs, as well as operations to assure that products are developed and commercialized in accordance with established timelines. You will also work with marketing to assure that OVD products are properly supported with laboratory and clinical data. Another important function is to support manufacturing operations to resolve technical issues and provide technical guidance to reduce cost of goods.
You must have the ability to drive multiple projects in accordance with established timelines, as well as personally lead key projects. We expect to find documented team leading skills as well as the ability to select talented people.
The requirements are:
• Personnel qualities:
o Work requires interpersonal skills, flexibility, and accuracy and good leadership, and that man is driven, analytical and structured.
• Education:
o Academic degree, PhD (doctorate), with a scientific or pharmaceutical targeting or equivalent.
o Good knowledge in English and Swedish language.
• Experience:
o At least five years' experience as a leader/manager related to research in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry of which at least 3 years in a senior position.
o Product development, delivering products to market
o Able to build good relationship with commercial, manufacturing other functions
o Six sigma
