As the independent second line assurance function for R&D, our mission in Quality Assurance is to achieve enduring excellence in auditing, quality management, and quality risk assessment, influencing the quality mindset across R&D for the benefit of our patients and the strategic direction of AZ.
What you will do
As the Director Quality Insights you will lead and drive the strategic design, implementation, and refinement of Quality management reporting tools and deliverables. You take a part in maximising the value of Quality data through presentation to senior leaders and inclusion in dashboards and reports across the AZ R&D units. You will also apply appropriate techniques to analyse and interpret data signals and trends and initiate focused CAPA. The Director Quality Insights collaborates with key stakeholders to establish tools to capture and analyze required data. The Director Quality Insights will establish effective internal and external networks and have broad industry experience.

Leads the long and short-term strategic development of Quality management reporting tools and deliverables, including the development of new business cases and analysis methods.

Leads the Quality Management System Governance and is the primary point of contact with associated vendors
*
Identifies opportunities for improvement in Quality management reporting, visualisation tools and deliverables
*
Represents QA on and provides expert input to the global system and data initiatives to drive consistency and standardization
*
Leads the planning, management, and resourcing of annual reporting and system release cycles
*
Maintains an external focus to bring learning into the organization, coordinating identification of new regulations, policies, and guidelines; understanding best industry practices; representing AZ during supplier interactions
Quality Assurance General Accountabilities:

Ensures own and team's tasks are performed to current practices and in accordance with company policies, standards, SOPs, and guidelines

Promotes a culture of ethics, integrity, and continuous improvement that focuses on delivering efficiencies and planned business benefits

Communicates effectively with QA colleagues and business stakeholders at all levels

Maintains knowledge of relevant industry information affecting quality and compliance arena
*
Leads training for colleagues and business stakeholders as required.
*
Involved in and may lead the development and/or revision of QA processes, projects, and tools
Essential for the role
*
Degree level education
*
Significant experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry
*
Excellent analytical, written, and oral communications skills
*
Fluent in written and spoken English
*
High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion
*
Strong collaborative, influencing and interpersonal
*

Skilled at managing & using technology
