We are looking for an engaged and business driven Director Purchasing for the Chassis Platform & Projects Team at Volvo Buses.

What is the job about?
You will be accountable for the performance of QDCFTSR (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk) of the supplier base of your business and team which consists of Commodity Buyers and Purchasing Project Managers. Together with your team and cross-functional network, you will proactively drive all relevant activities, use all needed tools and means to continuously secure supplier QDCFTSR performance in our business and in our projects.
You will actively contribute to your team members' personal developmental opportunities, both professionally and personally. You will support the team or recruit, in order to secure the right competences and mindset to make Volvo Buses transform.
As a Director Purchasing of the strategic line, you will together with your team drive the strategies in the segment- & supplier business plans and implement the actions accordingly with the other teams and sites together with suppliers. You will be responsible to manage supplier selections, supplier relationships and negotiations for improved supplier performance. You will together with the Range- and Projects organization drive key development projects to successful completion.
You will be reporting to Vice President Sourcing & Platform and be part of the Sourcing & Platform Purchasing Management team and in an active way contribute to the development of the department.

University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration
