As Director Public Affairs you will be part of the Group Public Affairs team at Group Strategy, Volvo Group headquarters. We have the responsibility to drive the Volvo Group Public Affairs agenda and to follow policies and regulations to explain the potential impact on Volvo Group's and our customers business and competitiveness.

You will report to the VP Group Public Affairs and be a part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who work with passion, trust each other and embrace change to stay ahead. An open and positive attitude is what we believe in.

Your area of responsibility
As Director Public Affairs, you will be an important player in order to engage external stakeholders and key influencers to support Volvo Group operations and business. You will be responsible for transport policy including freight logistics and issues/opportunities related to our customers business. You will do this by:
Analyzing opportunities and threats from a political and regulatory point of view
Providing intelligence and knowledge for internal and external decisions, strategies, policies and messages
Initiating, coordinating and running projects driving our Public Affairs agenda
Writing and compiling briefing documents, talking points and messages to the CEO, executive board members and others
Building and maintaining relations with key politicians, authorities, trade associations etc.
Organizing and coordinating visits from high-level delegations and delegation trips

Who we are looking for
To be successful in this position you need to have a great interest in the work we do and an extensive experience from working within one or more of the areas Public Affairs, Strategy, Business Intelligence, Strategic Communication, Business Development or Management Consulting. You have the experience of managing internal and external relations at different levels and the ability to network effectively and build long-lasting relationships across functional and geographical areas. You have exceptional writing and communicative skills in Swedish and English you have the ability to engage internal as well as external stakeholders.

We believe you have a master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field. In addition to this, you need to have a combination of good judgment, high integrity and enjoy working in a high paced environment. Attention to details and the ability to deliver on a tight deadline are crucial for this position.
